About Sindara

Every child grows in their own way and at their own pace. Sindara is here for children and young people who need a little more support with communicating, managing big feelings, getting along with others or handling everyday routines.

We believe the most useful growth happens in ordinary moments: at mealtimes, in play, when plans change and when spending time with friends. So support at Sindara is part of the whole day, not something saved for a single appointment.

Sindara is not a school and not a hospital. It is a warm, structured place where children are known, respected and encouraged, and where families are treated as partners.

Who we support

  • Ages 3 to 5

Early communication, play, routines and first steps towards independence.

  • Ages 6 to 8

Joining in, making friends, managing feelings and growing self-care skills.

  • Ages 9 to 12

Speaking up for themselves, understanding others and taking on more responsibility.

  • Ages 13 to 16

Confidence, independence and the everyday skills that matter in the teenage years.

We welcome enquiries from families of children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities or support needs. A diagnosis is not required to ask about our services. How we support children and young people

Support is shaped around each child and what matters most to their family. Whether your child is three or sixteen, we meet them where they are and help them take the next step.

The Sindara Hanger

A place to play, create and belong.

The Hanger is the heart of Sindara's social life. It's a relaxed, welcoming space for play, music, creativity and friendship, where children and young people can be themselves.

Some love to be in the middle of things. Others prefer to watch, or enjoy quiet company nearby. Everyone is welcome to join in their own way.

Our team

Sindara's team brings together people who support children through the day and professionals who guide that support. Together, they make sure every child and young person is known, safe and supported.

  • Support workers and caregivers

With children and young people through the day, helping them take part in play, learning, routines and time with others.

  • Therapists and consultants

Provide support and professional guidance according to each child's needs, within each practitioner's qualifications.
